I like what one of the attorney's, Mr. Armstrong said: He has a right to spew his crap on TV and people have a right to respond. I agree but when responding becomes threatening it crosses the line. Thankfully, I haven't seen a lot on here advocating harrassment and threats. Good job to the Average American for keeping this forum open to show that people with all kinds of backgrounds from all kinds of places can agree that vicious, abusive antisocial behavior must be condemned.

I just saw the Kelly's Court clip, and I have to say after seeing it, as well as learning more about the state of the Fowler finances before and after the airing of Wife Swap (other posters revealed that he's declaring bankruptcy, that he hasn't worked in five years, that their family house in Noe Valley actually has renters living on other floors, that their weight-loss coaching business hasn't really taken off since they started it four years ago), that I'm actually starting to feel a little sorry for the guy. He's definitely over his head in this situation. This is in NO way excuses anything he did or said on the show. Even if he was, as he claims, prompted by the producers to "be confrontational", the ease with which he slipped into that persona was just too telling. Like a few astute observers here, I have my own assessment of Fowler: a Cambridge graduate, yes, probably, but not from the upper classes--you can tell it from his suburban twang. Received Pronunciation (the accent we associate with really posh Brits and aging British actors) isn't regional, it's passed down within the class. There's obviously a lot of bluffing on both his and his wife's part about who they are in the pecking order.
But image over substance seems to be the San Francisco way nowadays and I swear to you, it didn't used to be like that.
$20,000 and national exposure shouldn't have been enough of an incentive to get Stephen and Renee to do a media monkey dance on a declasse TV show--not with their declared "sensibilities". (Unlike the Longs, who seem to have participated in the spirit of friendly gamesmanship that the show requires.) No, the Fowlers must have been truly desperate for some sort of breakthrough in their lives, financial, social or whatever.
Reply to this
No need to worry about the Fowlers. They are doing well financially.
Reply to this
I agree, the posts that describe him as broke or bankrupt are designed to create pity for him. I will go as far as saying that all those posts are coming from the fowler camp.
Reply to this
More likely that the Fowlers would come on and say "They're (we're) doing just fine, thanks." It's exactly the sort of delusional, egotistical action that I wouldn't put past either one of them.
If they're doing well financially, that's great. But I'd be surprised. With him having to leave (at least) 2 positions, and people backing away from his wife like she's a leper, I think it's more likely that they are starting to struggle.
Heaven forbid those kids might have to go to a *gasp* public school. Dear God in heaven, the world would come to an end!
Besides, who here would feel SORRY for them for reaping what they sow? Anybody?
Me neither.

don't forget that the two positions he resigned from were VOLUNTARY positions with no salaries. It's all here somewhere in this blog.
Reply to this
Where did I say that the two positions he withdrew from were paid positions? Hmmm. I didn't.
I used the statement as an illustration of what's most likely going on with them financially right now. If the loss of his VOLUNTARY positions and his wife's declining clientele are any indication, their finances are probably taking a hit.
Why the hell are you defending them so staunchly? Stephen? Is that you? Sit tight, dude. I'm doing a little research into what constitutes cause for denaturalization. I'll get back to you when I find something out.
And, by the way, you suck.

turns out I am not stephen. after reading this board for that last hour I noticed that a lot of people were talking about his financial situation when in fact there are no FACTS about his financial situation. for all we know he might have a swiss bank account with lots of yankee dolar. their finances might have taken a hit, sure.

I saw the clip while surfing the internet and I can't see myself or any other person supporting(in a business deal) any group that deals with Stephen. Renee appears to be driven in her desire to help those with weight problems, but to allow someone of Stephen's temperment to help raise her kids calls into question her state of mind.

What exactly IS a redneck? We all what a elitist "liberal" is. Actually a true liberal is NOT elitist but I guess they come off that way to some people. Anyway we know what a snob elitist west coast "liberal" snotnose crank is- What is a Redneck? Us non Southerners think of racist, sexist, crude people that would still like segregation in place and the KKK in power? If this is the case the elitist snob liberals and racist rednecks are simply two sides of the same coin. Any irrational hatred or judgement and condemnation of another is abhorrant no matter WHAT you claim your political beliefs to be.
Reply to this
I actually meant to post this comment under the guy who identified himself as a redneck, as well as being well educated. He got several very nice replies commending him for his military service, a few who also defined themselves as redneck. I wondered what that meant, as I am not from the South.
Reply to this
As a true southerner who happens not to be a "redneck", I can tell you that a redneck is generally a working class person who works hard, privides for their families, loves America and has hobbies like hunting, fishing, NASCAR and monster trucks. A redneck is similar to a Good 'Ol Boy. See Burt Reynolds in the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" or any episode of "The Dukes of Hazzard".

A redneck is a derogatory term for a working class person from a rural area. It has it's origin from the sunburn they would get from working hard outside in the summer.
Reply to this
A redneck is a working class WHITE man from the South, and this racial distinction is important. "Redneck" is not a term for working class "men" in the South, there was an entirely different terms for working class black men that held much more sociological impact than the term "redneck" did for poor white males.
Additionally, a redneck, as some others have pointed out, are further distinguised from other poor southern white males in the activities they participate in, the way the dress, and often(not always) their alligeance to the South(versus the United States) when discussing the Civil War.

This is correct. I was gonna post this, but I see you beat me to the punch.
Specifically, when you're bent down in a field, the back of the neck is more exposed to the sun than your back or face, causing a pronounced swath of red.
BTW, I just heard about this show today and watched some on youtube. It was amazing. That guy is a jerk of the highest order.

Well watching this episode i was amazed at the tolerance this woman had to remain focused .His protective wall with arrows and spears thrown was an immature tactic to relinquish control...something he vehemently fears because of his over sensualized pumped up self esteem showing us that it is a front to his fear. This was the kind of guy that was spoiled growing up and had his ass kicked the other half of the time and the combined twist evolved into a pompous -coward...What i enjoyed about this episode SO much was the fact that we are PROUD TO BE AMERICAN and the wife and her classy family made me beleive in good prevailing...especially her husband who showed miraculous gentlemanly restraint...there was no need to argue or beat this man...just step aside and let him talk himself into a corner...a corner sadly he has taken his family in with him...but if hes smart, hell put his tail between his legs, humbly apologize, see the "light" and listen to his family to get out of the corner...and then maybe he should be deported,as anyone who is not a proud American should be,back to his country of origin...and by the way,i have a distinct feeling his family has a cockney accent living in poverty in the English countryside....and he used to be the stall mucker until a mule kicked him in the head !

I'm just so glad i saw the news reports showing the public reaction to this ass hole, this guy got exactly what he deserved, The women who had to put up with his crap deserves a medal, for anyone who may be tempted to think this is what all we English are like, all i can say is there is a reason this ass hole doesn't live in the UK, he wouldn't last five minutes.
We don't put up with ass holes like this and i don't think you should have to.

It's not surprising that the SF Chronicle (Comical) has not gone negative. It would not serve them well to disparage the VC community here. It is a relatively small community and Stephen Fowler has a reputation for being quite vicious. Liked only by those for whom he makes a lot of money. I feel for his children. Not only have they been thrown to the wolves by their own father, but there is a good chance they will grow up to be just like him. We should really try to have some compassion for Mr. Fowler and his family. We all make mistakes. I can't imagine what it would be like to screw up so badly and then to have it known throughout the world. Let's hope something good comes out of this enormous mistake.

One of the best comments re Fowler that I've seen so far, courtesy of a quote by Ashley Montagu:
"An educated man is not always a cultured man, although a cultured man is usually educated...and that the cultured man is not merely the knowledgeable man, but the man who uses his knowledge humanely."

Stephen, It is nice to know that at least some of Fowler's friends are not deserting him at his time of need but your assertions are making Fowler look worse not better. With friends like you who needs enemies? "Are a bunch of stupid rednecks." is a sentence that lacks a subject. How would you know what the whole world thinks anyway? Indeed, God save the Queen. She would have nothing to do with Fowler or you.

Well, see, that's the thing....His "personal" and "professional" information was public. He listed ALLLLLLL of this contact information, and that of his associates, on several of his websites. So did his wife. So, How can you sue someone for putting information on a website when that information is public already - and was MADE public by the one suing??? You can't. Are we sure about this guy's IQ b/c he just looks dumber and dumber each time he makes a move.

Okay. I've had my fun the last few days commenting on StephenFowlerSucks.com. I love this place.
But it occurs to me that as fun as it is to rake this guy over the virtual coals, nothing substantial is going to come of it. Yes, we're getting the word out about this reprehansible douchebag, but le'ts see if we can't do something about getting the sociopathic sh*thead off our soil.
I've been looking up naturalization and denaturalization laws, and at a casual glance, I don't see anything that says he can be deported for being a douche.
BUT...
He can be deported if he:
1) Has any criminal activity in his past that he failed to disclose on his application for citizenship.
2) Left any pertinent information off his application for citizenship.
3) Lied in any way on his application for citizenship.
4) Has any criminal activity here that reflects upon his conduct as a citizen. Pity being a subhuman shmuck isn't illegal. He'd be GONE.
5) If he's falsely filed any taxes since he got here.
That's all I've got at a casual glance, but there's probably more to dig up.
So, instead of egging the guy's house, let's put on our detective caps. Let's find out what sort of citizen he was in England before he came here. Let's see what he's got on the books since he arrived. Let's see if there are ANY skeletons in this guy's closet we can use to put him on a slow boat back where he came from.
Grab a shovel, people. Let's start digging.
Reply to this
Yeah, if you could get deported for being an asshole we would have to hire a LOT more INS staff. He doesn't have any skeletons in his closet because he IS the skeleton in the closet.

According to section 73.6 of the INA:
73.6 Good Moral Character (GMC).
(a) General Criteria . One of the most important basic requirements in naturalization is that of good moral character (GMC). An applicant for naturalization must show that, during the statutorily prescribed period, he or she has been and continues to be a person of good moral character. This period includes the time between the examination and the oath of allegiance. Although the law specifies that the good moral character requirement applies to the statutory period, conduct prior to that period may impact the adjudicator’s decision regarding whether or not an applicant meets the requirement.
I wonder if it's possible to prove that he falsely portrayed himself to be a person of good moral character during the naturalization process and have his (ex)patronizing ass thrown out for fraud...?

Then what does immigration do with all the assholes in their own country? God knows I've met quite a few...
For americans things are always one sided. You can insult others and behave like asses abroad but no one can insult you; you can attack innocent countries and go to war and murder their people, but no one is allowed to attack your own or criticize you.
Makes no sense. Fowler is a product of American society and attitude of superiority. He would quickly be taken down in the UK if he tried the same.
Reply to this
good luck, it is already ridiculously difficult to kick convicted felons out of the country (the ones who are not even citizens!!). a few months ago there was discovered that the city of SF would take minors who comitted crimes and send them back to their home countries (on tax payers expense). Most of them returned to the US after their (tax funded) vacation and one of them killed two people in sf. that's how that scandal broke.
Reply to this
But this guy is a citizen. And as such, he's got criteria to meet if he wants to keep that citizenship.
I hope for his sake that he's got all his ducks in a row, because if there's a goose hiding in the nest anywhere, we'll find it, and he can start looking for a new culture to berate. He may think he's smart, but he made a huge mistake when he pissed on this country's military. He's got a secret hiding somewhere that will be of extreme interest to the INS, and we WILL find it.
Start packing, dude.

you dont have to deport him . . . if all the neg atmosphere around him keeps up. . .it will hurt his carreer his wifes carreer and they will be like the average joe out there tryin to make payments on thier huge rediculous home. . .fall into fortclosure. . .and they will take the last bit of money, pack up the fam and move back to UK. . . Then thier kids could actually use all those french lessons, if any other country would let him in that is. . .he is a supid stupid man. . .

For that matter, a crime committed here since his naturalizition could have his citizenship annuled and put him back on the boat.
Intentional infliction of emotional distress is a civil offense, but does anybody here know if it's criminal as well?
It's quite possible that his actions constituted criminal cruelty. Somebody in the SF area, take a tape of the full episode to your local district attourney and demand that it be reviewed for crimimal conduct. Both with regard to his actions toward Gayla and his treatment of his children - including their forced lack of suitable sleeping hours. Take it to Children's protective servies for review as well. Gayla might have signed away the right to sue him for his behavior, but those children haven't.
Feeling that whisper of breath on the back of your neck yet Stephen?
Reply to this
Ha! You must not be familiar with our DA. Kamala Harris a liberal windbag just like Fowler. San Francisco might as well be a revolving door since she never seems to prosecute criminals, let alone people of low moral fiber.
Reply to this
I have two mottos in life.
1) Sue for ten million, settle for 2. I'd suggest this to Gayla if she hadn't signed a release.
2) Everybody's got a boss. That includes your DA. If she doesn't want to do her job, remind her of the fact that she's an elected official. By way of the local papers, if need be.
If that doesn't work, go directly to the INS.

I don't know if anyone else has watched other episodes of Wife Swap but some of these guys are real jerks and I wouldn't be all that surprised if Wife Swap coaxed this guy to make it worse for the ratings. I'm not saying this man is any angel by any means nobody should ever be degraded like that but this guy is getting death threats now. lets put this in perspective here, does he really deserve all of this, he didn't kill her and he should have been much much kinder but I just think the people writing all these long letters and spending all of this time and energy on something thats not much different than the other episodes on this show. Why is it that no one writes to Wife Swap they were there someone could have stepped in. But the reason why this show is making it and letting this behavior go on is because the people that are writing on here are making the ratings higher.
Reply to this
Death threats? Probably a ruse for sympathy. Leave him alone? I don't think so. All the backlash is a direct result of his actions and he has no one to blame but himself, but I am sure he will never see that. No worse than anyone else on that show? That didn't excuse my children's bad behavior when they misbehaved in school and it doesn't excuse his. Whether or not he was the worst of the worst (and he certainly was), just because other people are abusers doesn't mean he should be excused or immune to repercussions.

Just got back from Brazil after spending 4 months working on a new bio plant business. While I was down there a colleague of mine told me about this episode. I watched in on YouTube. This guy Fowler is now well known within the inner circles in Latin America. The same circles that he would like to do business with. Of the people I talked to and asked for their opinion they have told me that they will not be doing business with him. When asked why.. "my wife said she would divorce me if I did business with that jerk". I'm not kidding this guy Fowler has become world famous. He is screwed!!! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I only wish people who had the time to put something like this together would direct their energy at more positive pursuits. I can appreciate the comedy in some of this, but at some point, it becomes a sad display of how our priorities have gone so so wrong. Keeping it light and keeping it fun is great (even necessary in these times). Turning it into an all out campaign on a single guy when their is so much more that's evil and wrong out there is just a case of mistaken priorities and misplaced energy.

Fowler represents all that is wrong with SF. I grew up in that fantastic city only to watch it become a place for liberal Nazis who truly hate people if they do not fit their leftist elitist standards. What a great move to put a wife from Missouri, middle America, into the most spiteful climate in America. The thing that is most troubling is that SF professes to be a place that accepts all but in reality is a place that now only accepts a very far left oriented person who must also have money. Don't just hate Fowler - SF is full of Fowler like people who ruin the city. One day I hope they all are forced to move to Missouri.

I watched the episode. I was appalled by the humiliating, deprecating, supercilious, arrogant manner in which Stephen conducted himself. He was paid to be on this show. He knew the format. There is no excuse for his behavior.
I especially feel for his children. He forbade them to speak to or look at Gayla. What a life lesson he gave them! Does he not know actions speak louder than words? They may have a beautiful house, great genes and a fabulous education but they sure don't have a good masculine role model in the home.

I personally do not agree with any children being involved in any reality tv shows for this reason. The producers and tv networks are to blame for peddling this stuff, and then of course there are willing participants like this guy. Who loses? The children.
The Fowler kids already have it bad with the parents that they have, but they are just kids, and I'm sure they love their parents. So any harm to this man will cause harm to these kids. It seems like it was only a matter of time before this Fowler guy was going to learn his lesson the hard way. I hope some good comes out of it for the sake of those kids.

Stephen Fowler is an example of everything that is wrong with our education system. He seems to have few ideas of his own, but has done a good job absorbing the university doctrine that tolerance means a hatred of middle America, and science is an uncritical faith in the global warming theory. I think the midwesterners are better off for not being dumbed down by advanced degrees.

I was horrified when I saw the clips from this episode of Wife Swap. This is not one of the programs I would normally watch, as I think it's ridiculous, and don't appreciate the situations. Due to the publicity, I viewed the excerpts, and am ALMOST ashamed to say I was born and raised in the U.K. I hope people don't think all British people are like this! Now I fully understand the saying "it takes all types to make a world"! Certainly does, and thank goodness the majority are not like this arrogant, obnoxious man.
The comments referenced in an earlier blog about "The Yanks - being over-paid, over-sexed, and over here" goes back to WWII time, and several years thereafter, when this was the general consensus of opinion. In comparison to the British men the GI's did appear to have more money, and they were away from wives/girlfriends etc. so took advantage of the "culture" they were offerd! Then, as now, girls tried to trap the boys/men into some form of committment by getting pregnant. What upset the "locals" was the men often disappeared shortly thereafter, (leaving no forwarding address!); the girl was left to face the shame, and her parents/family had to share the burden. Think about it, if you had a choice, as a women, would you choose the "rich, over-sexed American", or the "poor, boring Brit"!

What truly bothers me about this man's behaviour is how he involved the children. He encouraged them to laugh at Ms Long, to deride her and to ignore her. Despicable. It was horrid to watch scenes when the kids were torn between showing allegiance to the father and being decent people. The lesson they taught their children was not worth the $20,000 they accepted for appearing on the show.

Hell, half of them might be Fowler himself trying to misdirect the focus away from himself.

I truly feel sorry for Stephen. He has managed to insult our nation, our way of life, our military, and just about anybody with a shred of dignity or decency in America or anywhere else for that matter. When I say I feel sorry for him, it is because he thinks that we are the lower class and the ignorant. I'm sure all would agree who is the lower class and ignorant here. I believe he is the dumbest smart person I have ever heard. With all of his love for this country and desire to make the world a better place for the environment, he pollutes the air with just about every word out of his mouth. Both him and his wife think more about themselves and their accomplishments and needs than they do their own children. How Sad. Truly! Why could he not make the improvements to the world from England? Why come here if 99 percent of the country is revolting to him. They have theater and high class attractions over there don't they? I'm sure at this point even they don't want him back.
Even if the shows producers told him to ham it up, I believe that was Stephen just being Stephen. I give Gayla's husband credit for not leaping across the table and slapping the taste right out of his elitist mouth. But I'm sure that would have just proved him right. But you know, sometimes it's justified. I would tell him to go home, but I would not wish him on any country. Why don't you just climb in that hole you dug and disappear. At a time when our military is at war with americans being killed, wether you agree with the war or not, to insult our military by insinuating that they are all ignorant uneducated rednecks has got to be the dumbest and I repeat DUMBEST thing you could have done.

Many people seem to be unaware that many Americans actually behave condescending just like Fowler, when they travel in Europe and other countries. They often talk down to people and glorify themselves. It's a pity because it does not reflect the American people in a true light at all, and whom are generally polite and pleasant. Few of the travelers seem aware which nations actually constitute 'Europe' while traveling in Europe.
Because Fowler's behaviour is so similar to many American travelers I have met and seen (bragging about anything, be it money, IQ or achievements is not at all common in Europe) I can only conclude that Fowler has lived in the U.S. for many years and adopted this attitude in the U.S. and exaggerated on it even further. I do believe he is encouraged quite a bit by his wife.
Its a shame, really, because he was not justified to treat his guest in this manner. He has also put British people to shame which adds to his deplorable character. It would have been unbecoming to treat his guest bad even if tables were turned and she would have behaved like him. No educated person would sink so low but would maintain their dignity. Clearly the man has no education, and no manners at all. He deserves a trashing.
Its sad that he is of European origin, and it is really embarrassing. I can only apologize for his behaviour and hope you will not come across many like him again.
Reply to this
This is true. I was on traveling in Europe on a tour and was absolutely horrified at how some of the people in our group treated our waiter in France. They actually insulted the man because he didn't speak English and said in a loud very drawn out way as in "oh stupid you" -- "We want o-r-a-a-n-n-g-e juice." It was all the waiter could do to keep his cool. The service got really crappy after that (wonder why), and the only thing that saved us was a French Canadian in our group who tried to smooth things over. Obnoxious behavior abounds - maybe a lesson for all that what you personally do reflects on your country overall.

Everyone is angry with Fowler, but consider this. We Americans are indeed sometimes ignorant of our own history. We fought two bloody wars with the British in 1776 and 1812. The Brits are such a polite and refined people that more than a few have wondered why we would ever go to war with them.
... well, now you know!
It was bastards like Stephen Fowler who caused our ancestors to throw their obnoxious predecessors out on their keesters. Hence, in a way, Mr. Fowler has performed an inestimable service to this nation, by providing a glaring illustration of exactly why this is The United States of America, rather than some over-taxed podunk section of Jolly Olde England.
In fact, I would say we should even build a statue of the man. Let it stand in the center of one of those great cities like New York or Boston, where the people are refined and civilized... someplace with lots of pidgeons.

It is unfortunate for the people around this man and his wife, particularly their children. I feel intense sadness that children with so many opportunities may be sentenced such a pathetic outlook on life.
I have great sympathy for Mr and Mrs Fowler. Obviously, they both need professional help with their pathetically low self esteems. It is apparent that someone in their pasts also made them to feel insignificant and worthless. Someones worth as a human being goes far beyond their IQ or their ability to pass written exams. I have known a couple of life coaches...their personal lives were similar..unhappy and in denial. I wonder if Mrs Fowlers clients will continue with her. I wonder if there is time for the kids to learn how to remove the negativity they are being conditioned with. Please Mr and Mrs Fowler...get professional help. Some of the comments made are a bit extreme and off color, but he opened himself up to this by going on the show and behaving the way he did. One of our aliegnable rights as americans is Freedom of Speech. But you cannot go on a television show and insult our country, our people, our military, and act like your better than us and not expect some extreme replys. I was completly outraged after viewing the video of Mr. Fowler,a and I felt a knot in my stomach. I wanted to cry out, what is wrong with this society! I felt completly helpless and upset. Then I started to calm down and think about this. Now please hear me out before you get upset yourself. To a small degree this guy did have some good ponits. Americans are overweight and unaware of a lot of what is going on in the world. Here however is the problem with these liberal elite. If they really wanted to make people aware of their so called "higher" level of being, then wouldn't they want to help others? Instead of helping they put people down to make themselves feel superior. Not only do they put others down, but they laugh and pompusly act like they are so much better than everyone else. This just shows how sad they are inside. If they were truly living on another plain, and happier and better then the rest of us then they wouldn't feel the need to put others down. Anyone knows that if you are putting someone else down, it's mostly because you are so unhappy with yourself. At the end of the day isn't that all that matters? The only person looking back at you in the mirror is you. If the elite feels that they are so much better then the rest of us, wouldn't logic dictate that they spread this message in a possitive way to encourage others to join them? Get some education, take care of your health and pay more attention to things that are going on in the world. It's not unlike racism, if someone has been taught to be ignorant then they are going to be ignorant. Rather than getting upset and name calling and fighting should we just say hold on, why are we even upset? Then again that guy Stephen Fowler sure was an asshole!

Stephen Fowler is better than almost all of you, thus your hatred of him. Let's examine why:
1. He lives in a real city, as opposed to your fly-over state
2. He's pro-environment, pro-organic, and pro-quality; as opposed to most of you WalMart shoppers
3. He speaks English correctly
If you didn't feel so threatened by his better life, you wouldn't be so quick to try to tear him down. So I will provide you a couple of steps over how to get over your inferiority complex:
A. Go to a real university and get a real degree. [ neither Fowler nor Renee have real degrees ]
B. Be ambitious. Rather than bashing someone you'll likely never meet, change your own life and be successful instead of resenting him for his life
C. Quit being lazy, turn off the TV [ like you? you don't watch TV and you don't spend time on internet message boards? ]
D. Fox does not count as real news. If you watch Fox News, you're as much an ignorant simpleton as a crayon.
[ Fox haters read the Huffington Post, uuups, they ran a story on Fowler as well ]

Kristian, you have made some valid points and some very poor points...Where one lives does not make much of a difference if you take the time and effort to expose yourself to a variety of experiences. While you/he state the pro-environment, pro-quality leanings, I found him to be verbally fouling the environment with a very low quality of discourse and interpersonal skills.
You are quite right in stating that someone can go to school and get a real degree, be ambitious, quit watching TV, etc..But i reject your initial premise of being threatened by his better life...He comes off as small minded and miserable and lacks all social skills necessary to positively impact the lives of those around them...Can you imagine living with a parent who is rude and mean to people who are guests at your house? People from other walks of life...That is the issue here...
Reply to this
You're a moron, and let's examine to why. Great grammar, by the way. Those degrees are really paying off for you.
1. A real city isn't better than a fly-over state, whatever that means. It's the character of the people who live there that speakds to the quality of a place, not the number of shopping malls.
2. He's a hypocrite. He wears T-shirts that say "Tree Hugger" on them but he drives a non-hybrid beamer. He's more concerned with status than he is with the environment. And, by the way, how many trees have YOU hugged today? Hypocrite.
3. He speaks english properly? Perhaps, but he uses every word that comes out of his fetid gob to abused, condescend to and insult everyone around him. I think most people don't mind putting up with a few grammatical errors if the words being spoken are kind ones.
We're not threatened by Fowler's "better" life. We're offended because he insults ours. No, not everybody's travelled the world or speaks several lanugages. But most people have something he (and you, if you're just like him) never will. Kind hearts and loving relationships with the people around them.
I'll provide a few suggestions for you to get over your thick-headed view of a broader picture you obviously don't grasp.
A. Pull your head out of your ass and have a look around. The world doesn't exist on paper. It's made up of people, not books.
B. Pull your head out of your ass and make the effort to see why people are so offended about this guy. We don't resent him because we're insecure in our own lives, we hate him because he pissos on our country. One he's welcome to leave. I'll help him pack.
C. Pull your head out of your ass and quit spending all your time on the internet, if what we're doing here offends you so much. Go bend over the toilet, have a snif and realize that your sh*t stinks too.
D. Pull your head out of your ass and realize that this is the INTERNET. Like the news, it's open to interpretation. A crayon is at least bright and likable, unlike you who come off thick as mud and dull as a rock.
Now, for you who obviously suffer from the Fowler syndrome, thinking that your income (or anything else) makes you any better than anybody else, I've got one final piece of advice.
Go away.
Your lame attempt to poke fun at the good people who are rightfully upset by the actions of somebody who has insulted everything we believe in falls short. You think you're clever by acting like that sociopathic sh*thead, but you are sincerely not. You're not clever, you're not funny, and I, for one, will not be giving you another thoght once I hit "send." I hope nobody else bothers with you either. Your feeble attempt to get attention by imitating Fowler on some blog is just sad. You won't be getting any more of my attention, and I hope nobody else gives it to you, either.
Buh-bye.
PS. I'm sorry to see that admin added to your original post. You looked much stupider all on your own.

1. If Mr. Fowler is so pro-environment, why is he living in California? The state's natural resources and habitat are stretched to the breaking point. His desire to live the California lifestyle comes at the expense of the environment.
2. The Fowlers both bemoaned the Longs' use of fossil fuels, but then state they have traveled to several countries. While experiencing other cultures is a worthwhile endeavor, it is a little hypocritical to overlook the amount of fossil fuel consumed by a plane compared to an ATV.
3. When they go on their long hikes on the weekends, are they leaving their house on foot, or do they hop in their van to these locations (burning fossil fuels for their weekend fun)....
4. Many Midwesterners, certainly in rural areas, have their own gardens. The vegetables are fresh. We don't use pesticides in our own garden. We plant an abundant crop so that we always have some to share. My neighbors also share theirs, as well.
5. Pro-quality. Would that be like the $35,000 commode Mr. Thain, formerly of Merrill Lynch felt he "needed" for his office? I think the majority of people appreciate quality, but how can you claim to be pro-environment while holding up consumption of "quality" goods as an ideal as to what makes one a better person?
3. His command of the English language was fine; unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the command of his faculties, clearly lacking the foresight as to the consequences of his actions.
It appears he has had some success, and I, for one, hope that after the furor dies down he can go back to his life, albeit a little wiser than before.
The measure of a good life is how much better you make it for those around you.

I live in the Bay Area and manage a well known national retail store. I can tell you there are many of this type of people here. I have to endure being called ignorant, "boy" stupid and several other words I will not share. Using their children as pawns in their rants is a common practice. I had five people in a family yelling at me at once when I would not let them return a 5 year old microwave. Stephen Fowler has exposed what many feel in this area. They are better than everyone else and are entitled to special treatment.

I've never really seen america so united before! i mean, other than 9-11 and everyone hating the Bush administration, the scorn of the american public is focusing and uniting in the name of "Stephen Fowler SUCKS!"
Thanks for making this website so people can vent, i'm glad he's not getting away with his actions. I can't believe I'm saying this but, good on FOX for not ignoring this story!
Random side note, i wish the media would stop harassing the "octo-mom" 24-7. I saw a "exclusive" where they got pictures from when she was in high school?!?!!! WTF?! how about you spare her for 30 seconds and run a clip of this Stephen Fowler douche.

Octomom had 14 kids, none of whom she could afford. This is irresponsible squared - actually to the 14th power.

Listen, i know that whole situation is twisted, but how does talking shit about her on the "news" every night help the kids?
you know when the australian fires killed over 200 people, i watched a 1:30 spot about that, and over 10 minutes of "octo-mom" bashing.
"specials"
"this just released"
"new pictures of..."
"octo mom getting make-up??!?!!"
I'm just saying, there are tons of things going on in the world that the american media "mentions" but they love the really juicy cruel stuff. How do you think Jessica Simpsons weight made headlines while, nuclear deals with iran, suicide bombings, negotiation with north korea, and the chinese issues with human rights (i know that's always an issue) have gone on under most of americas noses.
Anyways, this isn't a website to complain about american media or octo-mom! (makes her sound like a super hero-- Spiderman, Captain America, Batman, and OctoMom! TO THE RESCUE!")
RANDOM! my original thing was-- I'm sure other network news stations can bring up the Fowler incident, like FOX in "Kelly's Court"
GOOD ON THEM!
-i'm not commenting on this subject anymore, i didn't mean anything offensive by it.
thanks! again, kudos to the maker of this website!

Greenspan says the economy will be as bad as the 1930s. Learn to grow your own food, people. Enough of this Stephen Fowler distraction. There are far bigger challenges facing all of us.

Let me engage in profiling - San Francisco supports Nancy Pelosi and was and still is an active Obama toady. Enough said.

As a woman who has lived in several cities in this country and Britain I was aghast at this silly man's behavior toward his guest. My niece had recorded the program and we watched it together in a kind of paralyzed horror. Mr. Fowler speaks bigoted nonsense as if it is truth.
How sad for his children to be taught such arrogance by their own father. Unfortunately he is typical of the Left whose attitudes are formed somewhat by indoctrination in school and college; more accurately these attitudes are formed when adults are badly parented themselves.
The Left is resentful and filled with retribution. These people are vacuous, and at the end, rather sad. They deserve our pity. That is, until they attempt to erode the institutions and values that have made this country great.
However, the greatest pity is reserved for Mr. Fowler's children who cannot know any better than what they are taught by their parents. Mrs. Fowler is pathetically invested in a man who is lacking basic humanity and she has chosen to subject her own children to it.
Very sad indeed.

What do you mean "Fox News... love it or hate it?" That's about the only news source that isn't blatantly slanted.

>>everyone hating the Bush administration,<<
As a momentary aside from our justified condemnation of the hated Fowler, I must say that I, for one, do not hate Mr. Bush. He took the reigns in this country at one of it's worst times since the Civil War, and managed to lead it for 8 years. We should recall that Abraham Lincoln was horribly unpopular during his administration. Today, Democrats love to invoke Lincoln (it's easy to invoke someone who's dead, just as it's easy to find fault with them). At the time, however, Democrats were the party of slavery, and their hatred of Lincoln was beyond all measure. It is all too seldom noticed that there were no further successful terrorist attacks in the US, during the ensuing eight years. I am not saying that his administration is above reproach, or that Bush's policies cannot be criticized. But we should confine the criticism to actual points of dissent with actual policies, instead of simply hurling vituperation at the man, which is what I see being done all the time. Supporters of the current administration are going to want people to be reasonable and fair in their appraisal of it's record four (and, possibly, eight) years from now. Now is the time to practice the virtues we are going to be demanding of others in the future.

Well, that's sad if anything. You actually consider times better before Bush? You must be extremely ill informed. Look where he brought the whole country! The effect of it is right now.
You don't have anything against a president that had a whole nation suffer for nothing but a lie and his greed of money? To go and bomb another nation while lying for the reason to bomb them is not a small "mistake". He should be tried for crimes against humanity like any politician who commits crimes against a people.
It tells a lot more about you than Bush.

>>He was joking, just like Anne Coulter was joking. Just like Rush Limbaugh was joking.<< Yeah... and the reaction of the Left to Coulter and Limbaugh has been... what? I am a conservative and I agree that both of them (particulary Ann) can be very abrasive. However, they keep their (often acidic) comments on focus. They are skewering the perceived political errors of Left-leaning politicians and spokespeople. Policies, public statements, and so forth are legitimate targets. If you publish your opinions in the press, and especially if you hold office, then you make your ideas and statements a legitimate target for those who disagree. By contrast, Fowler attacked a person for her own (alleged) shortcomings. She was not declaring a political policy, or running for office. He just spewed his venom at an innocent person out of sheer animus, and directed his remarks at an entire class of people generally. That seems to me very different from Coulter or Limbaugh skewering Ted Kennedy or Hilary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi because of their publicly-stated stand on a hotly-debated issue.

Bush actually had the truest heart and best intentions ..completely devoted to his love of the country and the american pride more so than any president has in decades..blaming him for a blunder is trite and opinionated .....Whoever our president is,we should respect him, even if we dont like him. Were entitled to our opinion but it makes us look stupid sometimes to be so opinionated when we dont take responsibility for our own actions.Geaorge and Laura brought class back to the white house after the costly and embarrassing escapades of the Clintons who should have been preventing the terrorists early plots and doing many other things besides embarrassing our nation and adamantly lying to us about what kind of daily business he was actually performing in the oval office.Lets hope Obama makes us proud whether we like him or not,he represents all of us if you live in America, even though I dont like him personally.
